Astana International Airport launched new summer schedule

  • Schedule features 46 routes, 7 of which are new
  • Five new airlines on AIA’s network – LOT Polish Airline, Finnair, Wizz Air, Air China, Ural Airlines

Astana International Airport launched its new flight schedule for the season.

The summer schedule features 46 routes, seven of which are completely new to the airport. A lot of effort and work have been done to start partnership with five new airlines.

One of the new scheduled airlines for summer 2017 is the largest airline of Finland – Finnair. It will be operating flights during EXPO period from Astana International Airport to Helsinki.

LOT Polish Airline is another new partner of the Airport which is starting flights from 8th of May and will connect Astana with Warsaw by direct flights scheduled 4 times per week.

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will launch new Astana – Budapest route from June 8, twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.

Another new airline on the Airport’s network is Air China, a member carrier of the world’s largest airline network – Star Alliance. It expected to enhance existing connection with Beijing from June.

Furthermore, Ural Airlines will be kicking off its four times per week operations from Astana to new destination – Zhukovsky international Airport on the 26th of April.

Three of new routes will be introduced by national carrier Scat Airlines, giving travelers the opportunity to fly directly to the capital of Armenia – Yerevan, Mineralnye Vody in South of Russia and both with Ural Airlines to Zhukovsky international Airport located in Moscow region.

The flagship of Kazakhstan aviation – Air Astana will be offering the seventh new summer route, Ulan-Bator, with flights to Mongolia’s capital three times per week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. Moreover, airline will increase frequency of the existing flights both on domestic and international directions.

In addition, Atlas Global airline will begin operate a new route Astana – Istanbul, which previously served only by two air carriers: Turkish Airlines and Air Astana.

Within summer period tourist charter program is planned on popular touristic destinations – Thessaloniki, Bourgas and Antalya.
